Features:
The voltage of 18650 lithium-ion batteries is generally between 3.6V and 4.2V, much higher than the 1.2V of nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal hydride batteries.
The internal resistance of 18650 lithium-ion batteries is relatively low, especially for polymer cells, which can further reduce self-discharge and extend standby time.
Unlike some other types of batteries, 18650 lithium-ion batteries do not have a memory effect. This means they can be charged at any time without needing to fully discharge them first.
